HOT WATER

We can install any gas or electric hot water unit. This includes continuous flow gas units, continuous flow electric units, gas storage and electric storage.

Finding yourself without hot water - 25 Hr Plumbing & Gas Services can help you immediately. If we are unable to repair or fix your existing unit, we can temporarily loan you a Hot Water System free of charge. The unit will be a 50-litre electric hot water system.

Anode replacements

When the rod itself becomes so corroded that it can no longer do its job, the tank soon rusts out, leaks and needs replacement. However, if you replace your anode rod before it fails, about every five years, you can double the life of your water heater. Rods are made from magnesium, aluminium or aluminium/zinc alloy. The rod is screwed into the top of your water heater and protects your water heater from rusting. When the tank is filled with water the anode rod sacrifices itself to protect the exposed steel of the water heater, through a method called electrolysis.
